ARSENAL’S STRIKER HUNT LEADS THEM TO TWO-TIME UCL WIINNER

Arsenal could make a move for Alvaro Morata, according to reports, as their search for a new striker continues. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang departed the Emirates Stadium in January, while Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are both out of contract next month. There is still hope in the red half of north London that Nketiah will sign fresh terms with the Gunners, but Lacazette looks set to leave when his deal expires on June 30.

Even if Nketiah is retained, Arsenal will need to add at least one more centre-forward to their ranks ahead of next season. Mikel Arteta’s side will have to balance domestic commitments with the Europa League after securing a fifth-place finish in the Premier League this term. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Gabriel Jesus are among the England-based players that have been linked with a switch to the Emirates.                          ARSENAL LOCK HORNS WITH LIVERPOOL TO SIGN STRIKER

It’s looking like Arsenal or Liverpool are going to ultimately sign Jonathan David this summer. According to But! Football Club, both Arsenal and Liverpool scouted the Lille hitman in a Champions League encounter against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month. The 22-year-old, who helped his club win a Ligue 1 title last season, has been in fine form this time around, netting 17 goals across all competitions.

And according to Le10 Sport, the Gunners and Jurgen Klopp’s outfit are frontrunners to land the Canada international this summer. The French publication also reports that both Arsenal and Liverpool are even leading the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in the race to sign him, with the North Londoners, in particular, making him a priority signing. WILL ARSENAL CONTINUE THEIR OVERHAUL NEXT SUMMER?

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EqqTC3eXcAQovwQ.jpg:large

English Premier League club Arsenal may have signed a lot of players during the summer transfer window but they do not yet look like a side that can strongly compete for any title. The Gunners manager Mikel Arteta convinced the club’s board to splash a lot of cash this summer on as many as six new signings but they have not really improved from last season, with a lot of people blaming it on the fact that they have not yet gelled and still need to get to know each other before they can start playing as a team.

The club:a director Edu also said that the club should be judged only after every player is fit and available for selection as some of them are still currently out either through injury or as a result of Covid-19. Continue reading “WILL ARSENAL CONTINUE THEIR OVERHAUL NEXT SUMMER?”

ARSENAL WILLING TO PART WAYS WITH FRENCH STRIKER

Although there js yet to be an official confirmation from the club, it is reported that Premier League side Arsenal are now more willing than ever to offload French striker Alexandre Lacazette and may likely do so if they receive a sizeable offer for him this summer. Lacazette has been a shadow of his true self in recent months and has failed to convince manager Mikel Arteta that he is still capable of leading the line for the club, meaning that his role at the club is at risk of being further limited ahead of the new season which is set to start next month.

Like Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also been firing blanks for the London club in recent times and although the urge to sell Lacazette is not as strong as the one to sell the Gabonese star, he is also reportedly on the market and available to be sold if the club get any reasonable offer for him. The two strikers have already hit their thirties and are no longer seen as long-term options which gives Arteta a cogent reason to start investing in youth whether it means signing young players or developing and promoting their academy stars.

ARSENAL STAR INTERESTED IN CHELSEA RETURN THIS SUMMER

Although it remains to be seen whether the transfer will eventually happen, several media outlets are currently reporting that Arsenal star Willian is interested in returning to Chelsea this summer after being fed up at the Emirates Stadium. Willian left Chelsea last summer and signed for their London rivals Arsenal and hoped to have a decent career at the club but it has not gone as planned and he is reportedly willing to swap red for blue this summer.

Before leaving Chelsea, Willian was offered a fresh one-year contract renewal because it is in line with the club’s policy to only give one-year renewals to players who are beyond the age of 30. However, he declined the offer and requested that the Blues offer him a contract deal of at least two years. With the two parties failing to reach an agreement, it was only logical that the Brazilian left the club and he ended up signing for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the process.

BELLERIN SET TO LEAVE ARSENAL THIS SUMMER

According to multiple sources, Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is set to leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, with reports claiming that he is not willing to extend his contract with the Gunners. Bellerin is already a long-serving star for Arsenal  and has been at the club for many years but it looks as though he finally wants a change and has been working toward that already.

Last season, he was linked to a number of clubs from across Europe, including clubs from the Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1, the German Bundesliga, and even the Premier League. Manchester City are said to have shown interest in him, even though it was not really concrete, while AC Milan and Inter Milan are huge admirers and would pounce on a deal immediately.
